1-day Workshop- $695*†
This is the group for you if you want to know exactly what the pilots are doing in the cockpit to ensure you get to your destination safely. It used to be that cockpits were more open to the public and many adults have fond childhood memories of visits to the flight deck and “earning” a set of wings. These days, cockpit doors are locked and the process of getting you from place to place is shrouded in mystery. Afraid To Fly has partnered with UFly Simulator to give you a first-hand look at exactly how pilots fly these big birds.
The Simulator program is a 1-day workshop that not only teaches you how to cope with fear and anxiety, but allows you to ‘fly’ on a big jet without leaving the ground. In The Simulator program you will:
- Learn how to calm your body and mind so you can think more rationally about what you want to be doing, instead of feeling afraid,
- Stop worries from spinning out of control and tap into your confidence,
- ‘Fly’ with a commercial pilot in the cockpit of a Boeing 777 simulator.
- Learn to stop avoiding and tune-in to your bravery!
You and the members of this group will spend the morning learning proven strategies to help you cope with fear and worry. You’ll learn how to override the body’s anxiety reactions and, with practice, gradually rewire your own alarm systems. In the afternoon, you’ll meet for your pre-flight briefing with the pilot and enter the cockpit simulator for a one-hour flight where you’ll experience exactly what the pilots do. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about air travel, air safety, weather and aircraft.
Our next group will be Monday, June 19, 2017.
To register, contact UFly Simulator at 1-416-777-2261.
